Reverent Baby

Amari is coming up on 14 months old, and she can't walk yet. In fact, she can't even crawl . . . But that isn't to say she is without talent!

She folds her arms for prayer! She looks around at everyone else, then folds her little arms, bows her head, and waits for the prayer to be over, when she throws up her arms with a radiant brilliance on her face.
So Jason was getting the kids dinner one night when I was gone, and they had started eating when he looked over at Amari, and she was sitting there, folding her arms, looking at him expectantly. She was reminding them to say prayer! What a good prayer baby! She may not be mobile, but she's guiding our family to exaltation. :)

She is a genius. She knows how to crawl and walk. She has just decided not too. Princesses DON'T move themself about. She is simply adorable. We can just have Gabe carry her around. And for payment she can teach him how to pray.

I keep coming back to reread this post for its Amari sweetness and quiet reminder of priorities.

I miss that darling.
